Description
A guardian lion carved in the round, shown mid-stride with a raised, curled mane and a brocade ball beneath its forepaw. The lion and its round drum-shaped base are carved together as one continuous piece.
The surface keeps the marks of the carving and has a mottled grey-green tone that shifts across the form. The gallery photographs show the piece from several angles.
